Innovator
Florida Baptist Association
Tallahassee, Florida Baptist
Association
January 2008
Inter-Mission with David
No organization can afford to resist needed change and expect to
survive. Our Association has been fortunate to change while remaining
true to our Mission: “from the Capital to the coast, strengthening
existing churches while planting new churches.”
We are 40% larger than we were 10 years ago. This happened, in no
small part, because we reorganized our Association to take on the
challenge doing missions more effectively into the 21st Century. Now we
are facing more reorganization to better carry out our Mission.
The reorganization of approximately 10 years ago was radically
different from the past. This 2007 reorganization plan must also be
quite different for flexibility’s sake, effective communication and
better utilization of our Association’s resources for maximum mission
effectiveness. This has come about as a result of your participation in
our Association’s recent strategic planning through “town meetings”. An
agenda for presenting the suggested organizational charges will probably
be shared in the next edition of the Innovator.
So, as you welcome in the challenge of a New Year, know that our
Association is doing just that. We are going to have a great year!
May you have a Happy and blessed New Year.
