Inter-Mission with David
I am feeling so good about the Florida Baptist Association. God has been blessing us through so many wonderful people with servant hearts, people who love the church-down-the-street as well as their own church. This is where missions begin. This next year we will have an Association Missions emphasis during one Sunday in the Spring. There will be no offering taken, just information shared and prayers delivered and received. More information, of course, will follow... another first for us. I shall see you October 28, at Bradfordville, First Baptist Church for an Evening of Worship and Praise. May God bless you all.
Interim Ministry
If you were at First Baptist Church, Monticello last Thursday you heard a report from Tim Ireland of Northwoods Baptist Church and Freddy Davis of First Baptist Church, Woodville concerning their Interim Ministry. Tim just completed his first church conference (town meeting style) concerning self discovery, “Who do we think we are?” Freddy has led his church through all four church conferences and their Pastor Search Committee is now fully engaged. Both churches have been blessed! Our longest Interim ministry currently is Seminole Baptist Church under Robbin Jumper of two years. However they soon will have their Pastor!
Ideas for Impact Garry Goodin
Moving from Worship to Small Groups to Ministry Much of what we do at church falls into one of three categories: worship services, small groups and ministry. Our goal is to help our church members move in a process from one to the other. How can we help encourage church members to move from worship into small groups? One way might be testimonies in the worship service by the pastor and others about what they are learning in their small groups. A second way could be to set up tables with small group representatives in the foyer as people leave a worship service. How can we help move church members from small groups into ministry? One way is to ask small groups to choose a ministry project or an on-going ministry that their group would like to be involved with. One church actually forms small groups that are centered on the type of ministry they will be doing. For example, the Children’s Ministry small group meets for Bible study and then does ministry once a week at the Children’s Home or mentors at a local elementary school.

Fellowship In the Field Saturday, November 10 at The Homestead Property 8:30 am
Sometimes men just need to get away and do those things that men enjoy doing, like plunking away with a gun at flying skeet, or, fiddling with machines, or just being outside without worrying about getting dirty or keeping your hair combed. Sometimes that's the best time to find out what really makes a guy tick. What are his victories, his mountains, what makes him laugh, and the worries he can't turn loose of. The guys involved in Fellowship In The Field have been there and done that, but they have also had the life changing experience of giving all of these things over to Jesus Christ, the God-Man who really knows what men (and women) deal with in this earthly life.
There's an expression among some Christian men, "Real men love Jesus." That's really what the men at Fellowship In The Field want everyone, especially men, to know. Giving it all to the Savior is truly a life-changing experience. One that these guys don't want to keep to themselves. That's why they decided to have "fellowship in the field." The "fellowship" is just men enjoying the wholesome and encouraging company of other men. The "field" setting allows men to do some of those things that God made possible for us to enjoy in His creation. There's something about getting out of our fast-paced, urban world into raw nature that is settling, rejuvenating and peaceful. They want all men to come and enjoy their "fellowship in the field" and grow with them as they seek to become more and more like the REAL MAN of all times, Jesus Christ. Activities at Fellowship In The Field events include: Skeet Shooting, Hot Air Balloon Rides, Arm Wrestling Demonstrations & Contests, Archery, and more...!
Fellowship in the Field is comprised of more than 20 men from different area churches who have felt God’s call to reach out to other men with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you are interested in attending or helping with the planning and support of these events please go to www.FellowshipInTheField.org on the web and register or call (850) 514-2901. You may also obtain directions to the Homestead Property by visiting their website or by phone.
